Every average girl in India, has a picture of an ideal dream husband in terms of looks, nature and outlook towards life. The expectations from the husband are fairly simple - need to provide security, tender moments of love which may or may not be met. Shubh Vivaah is a story of a father and his five daughters. The love they share, the bonds they cement, the faith they place on each other and the dedication with which they try to change the harsh realities of their lives.
Chhoti Bahu is the story of Radhika, a simple girl living in the pious city of Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, India. A dutiful daughter, a loving sister, and above all an ardent worshipper of Lord Krishna, is adopted by a revered priest Pandit Brij Mohan Shastri. The story revolves around Radhika's sacrifices to keep her family happy, twisting her from one troublesome situation to another. The only refuge that she has is her only friend – Lord Krishna.
The story hails from Punjab's small town 'Dera-Bassi'. Both of the characters' Ranbir and Rano belong to this same small town, but Rano is from a conservative Punjabi family and hence has limited exposure with the outside world. Her father is the station master of Dera-bassi and it is one day, on her way to 'Dharamsala' that she meets the man who is to become a part of her life – Ranbir. What transpires after is what dreams are made of – sweet moments between the couple, feuding households, and love that outshines the toughest of all obstacles.
Dor is the story of Avani. Avani is the eldest child in her family that comprises of her mother, two younger sisters and a younger brother. Her mother Kaveri has been deserted by her father, who is not traceable. Speaking about Avani’s father in house is a taboo. Further, Avani is also the only earning member in the family and the house runs on her meager income from her employment in a construction company. Her younger sister Abha is about to finish college and is mature and responsible.
